About flextem

flextem GmbH develops and manufactures custom system solutions in insulation and heating film technology. The portfolio includes PTC heating films, etched flexible heating films with precise heating patterns, fabric and nonwoven heaters in embroidery technology on carriers such as polyester fleece or glass fabric, as well as printed flexible sensors for temperature, pressure and hygroscopy measurements. In addition, electrical and industrial adhesive tapes with adhesive systems based on acrylates, rubber or silicone (dispersion or solvent-based) as well as die-cut film parts and molded parts are produced; connection technology and thermal monitoring and control of the heating elements round out the offering. Customers come from the automotive, battery, medical technology, electrical and electronics, household appliance and furniture industries. Fabric and nonwoven heaters can be produced up to 400 °C and in dimensions up to 1,400 × 10,000 mm. flextem has been active in the market for 30 years as a partner for custom developments.

Materials and processes

PTC

PTC heating films

Positive temperature coefficients enable self-regulating temperature management, e.g. in the thermal management of lithium-ion batteries.

ÄTZ

Etching technology for flexible heating films

Etched heating patterns result in ultra-thin, lightweight heating films that adapt to various surfaces.

PES-Vlies

Polyester fleece

Carrier material for flexible fabric and nonwoven heaters.

Glasgewebe

Glass fabric

Temperature-stable carrier for heating elements with high temperature requirements up to 400 °C.

W-Draht

Resistance wire

Wire structures processed in embroidery technology form highly flexible heating elements.

ACR

Acrylates (adhesive system)

Adhesive system for electrical and industrial adhesive tapes on dispersion or solvent basis.

KAU

Rubbers (adhesive system)

Adhesive system for electrical and industrial adhesive tapes.

SI

Silicones (adhesive system)

Temperature-resistant adhesive system for electrical and industrial adhesive tapes.

SEN

Printed flexible sensor technology

Ultra-thin sensors for temperature, pressure and hygroscopy measurements on various surfaces.
