About the association

Flourish – Artists & Industries is an association based in Berlin (umbrella brand "Starke Schultern – Alter ist keine Ausrede!" / "Strong Shoulders – Age Is No Excuse!") that advocates for performing artists aged 50 and over. The association provides information on the topic of poverty in old age in artistic professions, supports placement in jobs subject to social insurance contributions as a "second livelihood" – for example at sales companies – and offers a forum for networking between artists and employers. Further topics are provision for old age and a mindful approach to one's own resources. The initiative is supported by people from social professions, politics and culture. The head office is located c/o Factory Network at Rheinsberger Straße 76/77 in Berlin. The contact person and initiator is Alexander Markus Majowski. The website with blog launched in July 2024; according to its own statement, the development of the offering is still in progress.
