About FlowWerk
FlowWerk is a company based in Regensburg specializing in process engineering that supports industrial companies and the industrial mid-market in analyzing and improving operational processes. The offering includes flowCheck, a structured process analysis that captures actual current processes, systems, data flows, waiting times and sources of error and evaluates them economically. In addition, flowMap creates a digital process map that links processes with responsibilities, systems, bottlenecks and risks (currently in the concept and pilot phase). Following this, FlowWerk implements workflow automations, custom web applications, dashboards, reporting, interfaces between existing systems as well as AI-assisted assistance. Target sectors include mechanical engineering, plant engineering, parts manufacturing, production, logistics and industrial service providers. The company is led by Mike Schneider (B.Sc. Materials Science and Engineering) and Markus Klein (software development); additional specialists are brought in on a project basis. With the research project Caldera, FlowWerk is working long-term on operational intelligence for complex industrial systems.

Services and Methods
Process Analysis
Structured recording of a concrete process with roles, systems, data flows, waiting times and sources of error, including economic potential assessment.
Digital Process Map
Links processes with departments, systems, bottlenecks, risks and automation potentials in a shared interface (pilot phase).
Workflow Automation
Automation of recurring steps such as data entry, document creation, approvals and status communication after a completed process analysis.
Custom Software Development
Internal web applications, dashboards, reporting and interfaces between existing systems without a forced subscription model.

Working Method and Quality
FlowWerk works with actual as-is processes rather than target processes, evaluates measures by impact, effort and risk, and validates results together with the customer. Custom-developed systems generally become the property of the customer and are not tied to a subscription.
