About us

Flugplatzgesellschaft Arnsberg-Menden mbH (FAM) operates the Arnsberg-Menden regional airfield (ICAO: EDLA) in the Sauerland region. Opened in 1970, the airfield is designated in the aviation concept of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a priority regional airfield for individual business aviation; around 12,000 flight movements take place each year. The offering includes flight operations and refuelling services for police, rescue and business aviation as well as general aviation, four hangars with around 4,400 m² of floor space, a fullmotion flight simulator (REDBIRD FMX) and the conference hotel, restaurant and café "JU 52" with outdoor seating. The site and its infrastructure are owned by the company; since 2012 the sole shareholder has been OBO Bettermann. The company does not manufacture industrial products; a listing on Amplifa is of only limited technical relevance.
