FM Systeme Förder- und Montagetechnik Schmalzhofer GmbH is a manufacturer of system solutions for efficient, lean manufacturing, founded in 1988 by Ing. Rainer Schmalzhofer. Based on the self-developed aluminium profile system (profile series 16 to 50) and the ECO tube plug-in system, the company produces workstation systems, material and provisioning trolleys, conveyor technology (belt, chain and roller conveyors), safety fence systems and machine enclosures, as well as the patented MyShadowboards – CAD-milled part holders made of two-colour PVC foam (mats up to 1970 x 970 mm). The value chain covers consulting, planning and design, costing, production, on-site assembly at the customer, delivery, commissioning and after-sales service. Materials include, alongside aluminium and aluminium die casting, stainless steel, galvanised and coated steel as well as many plastics such as PA, PE, POM, PP, PVC and polycarbonate, also in ESD versions. Customers are found in industrial manufacturing and assembly, intralogistics, order picking, fire and rescue services as well as office organisation. The company is based in Eppingen (Baden-Württemberg) and operates a subsidiary in Bondoufle (France) and, since 2020, FM Systeme Korea. It is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
