FMS Force Measuring Systems AG is a Swiss company founded in 1993, owner-managed and headquartered in Oberglatt. The company develops and produces force transducers (including force measuring bearings, load cells, force measuring rolls and force measuring blocks), measuring amplifiers, systems for web tension measurement and control, web guide systems, telemetry and radio transmission systems, as well as robust conveyor belt scales and platform scales. The development of custom force transducers and special designs is carried out entirely in-house; production includes the manufacture and assembly of sensors and electronics, including 100% functional testing with a test report per product. Materials used are mainly stainless steel, aluminium and galvanized steel. Customers come from the converting industry, metalworking, the wire and cable industry, the paper and textile industries, as well as construction, recycling, mining and tunneling. In addition to the branch FMS USA, Inc., FMS maintains locations in the United Kingdom and Italy and supplies customers worldwide.
