Foccus Innovation GmbH is an Austrian startup founded in 2017 and based in Vienna. The company develops and distributes mechatronic systems, in particular the fully electric milling robot of the 'Pipe-Robotics' series for trenchless sewer pipe rehabilitation in private house connections. The first prototype, the 'e-Cutter', was presented in early February 2019 after one and a half years of development work in close coordination with industry insiders and potential customers. The robot operates fully electrically, features a 'worm' system for precise approach and alignment in the working area, and offers improved imaging for the operating station. For the project development, the company received funds from the innovation funding of the Vienna Business Agency; supporters are the Vienna University of Economics and Business and HTL Vienna 10. The market launch with the production-ready robot was planned for the beginning of 2020, with a sales focus on the DACH region.
