About Focus-Technology
Focus-Technology is a Swiss startup founded by independent watchmaker Nathan Decurnex and engineer Frédéric Jouvenot. The company develops and produces Vultus, a monocular vision device with an integrated, one-hand adjustable zoom from x2.5 to x12, which replaces traditional magnifying loupes across six magnification levels. The patented technology is based on one and a half years of research and development at EPFL and was designed for the real-world requirements of workshops and precision industries. Target groups include watchmakers, jewellers, micromechanics and microtechnology businesses as well as quality control. Development, production and hand assembly of the optical instruments take place entirely in Switzerland. The design is built for intensive professional use, with skin-friendly, 100 % biocompatible eye-cup material, high impact resistance and components that do not scratch metals.
