About FOGTEC
FOGTEC Brandschutz GmbH, headquartered in Cologne, develops and manufactures fire protection solutions based on high-pressure water mist. The systems extinguish fires with pure water without chemical additives, operate at pressures of 50 to 200 bar (water mist Class I according to NFPA 750) and use predominantly stainless steel for piping and system components. The product portfolio includes stationary and mobile water mist systems, fire detection and smoke aspiration systems as well as aerosol suppression systems for electrical equipment in rail vehicles. In addition, the company offers safety concepts, fire tests (full-scale and laboratory fire tests), RAMS and LCC studies, project planning (2D, 3D, BIM including hydraulic calculations), training as well as installation, commissioning and lifecycle management. Fields of application include rail vehicles, tunnels, buildings and industry (e.g. CNC machines, hydraulic presses), energy storage and battery systems, data centers, hospitals, hotels as well as marine applications. FOGTEC operates with its own locations in Germany, Italy, Hungary, India, China and Saudi Arabia as well as a partner network on all seven continents; more than 30,000 installed systems are in operation.

Materials & Processes
Water as extinguishing agent
Pure water without chemical additives, dosed in finest droplets for maximum cooling with minimum water consumption.
Stainless steel
Used for piping and system components, enabling easy reusability and recycling.
High-pressure water mist (50–200 bar)
Generates a fine droplet spectrum (Class I according to NFPA 750) for efficient cooling and local oxygen displacement.
Aerosol suppression systems
Used for fire protection of electrical equipment in rail vehicles (over 80% of FOGTEC systems in this segment).
Smoke aspiration early fire detection
Detection systems for early, precise fire notification, also usable in extremely cold climate zones.
