About Folietec
Folietec Kunststoffwerk GmbH was founded in 1991 as "Foliepack" in northern Thuringia and produces polyethylene and polypropylene films at its Roßleben-Wiehe site. On a total of eight process-controlled blown film lines (four mono and four coextrusion lines), mono and multilayer films are produced with a maximum lay-flat width of 3,000 mm and thicknesses of 15 to 250 µm. Annual capacity is around 13,000 tonnes of PE film, with multilayer films accounting for over 70%. The portfolio includes standard films made of LDPE, MDPE, HDPE and LLDPE as well as specialty products such as vending machine films, fire-retardant films, laminating films and PPB deep-drawing films; in addition, biodegradable PLA films, Green PE from renewable raw materials and recycled films. Bags, gusseted bags and film die-cut sheets are produced on four converting machines, supplemented by inline punching, slitting of master rolls, and surface pretreatment by corona treatment, cold needle perforation, format punching and colour pigmentation. The films are used mainly in the packaging industry, for food packaging and on form-fill-seal machines.

Low-density polyethylene
