Fontana Print SA is a printing company founded in 1957 by Renato Fontana, headquartered in Pregassona, a district in the north of Lugano in Ticino. With its own production, the company covers the main areas of the graphic arts industry: commercial printed matter of all kinds, publishing with book and magazine production (Fontana Edizioni), web printing of forms for computers and newspapers, and, since 2024, folding-carton production and the printing of package inserts under the Fontana Packaging Division. Packaging development with structural design and visual design is handled in-house. In the field of pharmaceutical packaging, the company has already passed the required quality audits for two customers. Around 50 employees produce on a Speedmaster XL 106 sheetfed offset press (8 colors), an Easymatrix 106 CS die-cutting and embolding press, and a Diana Go folding-carton gluing machine. The owner-managed family business is led by Ruben and Raoul Fontana; with Colin Fontana, the designated successor from the third generation is already in place.
