Format Messtechnik GmbH is an owner-managed technology company based in the Karlsruhe Rhine harbour district, founded in 1994. The company develops and manufactures testing and measuring instruments for the polyurethane industry. The product portfolio includes the FOAMAT® foam qualification system for recording rise height, rise pressure and dielectric polarization of polyurethane foams, the SubCASE® Pot Life and Curing Monitor for determining the pot life and curing profile of non-foaming reactive plastics, the Resimat® testing device for viscoelastic foams as well as Online Cure Monitoring systems (OCFM). Another speciality is contactless distance and thickness measurement using ultrasound: the Sonic Joker® 275 and LRS 3 sensors measure with a resolution of 10 micrometres in production and quality assurance. The instruments are used worldwide, including by chemical corporations, automotive suppliers and foam processors; sales are handled via distribution partners in Europe, North and South America and Asia.
