About us
Formenbau Tränkl was founded in 2003 by Thomas Tränkl in Geretsried near Munich and operates as a sole proprietorship. The company produces moulds and parts made of silicone and casting resin: master models are moulded and reproduced in polyurethane, epoxy resin or UV-resistant resin — from prototypes and small series to spare parts for vintage cars such as indicator lenses, seals and handles. A second focus is the application of exclusive wall and floor claddings, including stone carpet, thin slate, flexible sandstone, leather, microcement, lime and cement plaster, liquid wallpaper, synthetic resin coatings, rust design as well as epoxy resin tables. Customers come from industry (prototyping, custom-made products), dental technology, the jewellery and toy sectors, gastronomy, the wellness sector as well as from private customers. Since 2019 there has been a partnership with ISO Plam from Italy on new surface techniques such as stamped concrete, microcement and rust effects; in the sandstone sector the company cooperates with UNIKAT Sedimente Ltd.
