Company
Formguß Dresden GmbH is a foundry in Dresden that produces aluminium castings using hand and machine mould casting, gravity die casting and prototype casting (rapid prototyping). With a workforce of around 50 employees, the company produces castings for a broad customer base from the automotive industry, apparatus engineering, lighting construction (including housings for street lighting) as well as for industry and trade. Depending on the technology, production takes place on modern systems using furan resin or bentonite sand, or as hand-moulded castings. The value chain includes, in addition to core production (core making, sand cores made of bentonite sand), pattern making and toolmaking via fixed cooperation partners, mechanical machining and quality inspection. The company has a quality and environmental management system certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001. Since 01.01.2022, the previous business division of Hoffmann GmbH ALEXPERT Dresden has been continued as an independent, operating company under Formguß Dresden GmbH at the Dresden site, Mügelner Straße 18. The company can look back on 135 years of tradition as a foundry.
