Forst Zerspanungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, based in Velbert, has stood for broaching solutions since 1909 and remains a family-owned company to this day. Through the sister organization FORST Räum- und Härtetechnik GmbH, contract broaching on vertical machines with up to 120 tonnes of pulling force as well as contract hardening (hardening and tempering under vacuum) are offered; the vacuum pit furnaces process parts with diameters up to 600 mm and lengths up to 2800 mm, such as low-distortion broaching tools, rollers and extruder screws made of various steel materials. The technologies are used in particular in the automotive industry, aerospace and energy supply. Tool concepts for resource conservation and CO₂ savings are also offered. The company works with subsidiaries in the USA and China.
