About us
The Forstquell-Brauerei in Fürnheim on the Hesselberg is an adventure inn founded in 1731 with its own brewery and schnapps distillery. For almost 300 years, the Kollmar family and previously the Höhenberger family have been brewing beer in the same place. The craft beer is traditionally produced in a copper brewing kettle in the middle of the adventure inn. The offering is complemented by house-distilled 'Wässerli' spirits from the own distillery, Franconian specialties such as Schäufele, Sauerbraten or carp, as well as fresh bread from the in-house oven. The inn, idyllically situated in the forests of the Oettinger Forst, features a beer garden and lies close to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Geopark Nördlinger Ries. The family business is run by Ingrid Kollmar; with her two youngest daughters, the next generation is already ready to step in.
