FORTAN SYSTEMS GmbH is a pressure vessel manufacturing company headquartered in the Welschen Ennest industrial estate, Kirchhundem (district of Olpe). As a single-piece production operation, the company manufactures welded fittings (tees, reducers, segmented bends, special parts to drawing), pressure vessels, apparatus, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, process vessels and columns, as well as pig launchers and autoclaves with self-designed quick-release closures. In addition, the company offers services: rolling of thick-walled pipes and cones with small diameters, flame cutting of nozzle holes and contours up to 1,400 mm diameter, and heat treatment in a TÜV-approved annealing furnace. Materials processed include structural, fine-grained, pipeline and heat-resistant steels, stainless steels, duplex and nickel-based materials including ASME equivalents. Vessels are produced up to 4,000 mm diameter and 40 t unit weight, fittings up to approx. 2,000 mm diameter and 10 t, and pig launchers from DN100 to DN1500 for pressures up to 200 bar. Customers come from pipeline construction, pressure vessel construction, energy and gas supply, plant and process engineering, including E.ON and Open Grid Europe.
