FORTEC Integrated GmbH (formerly Distec GmbH), headquartered in Germering near Munich with a plant in Hörselberg-Hainich, is an internationally active provider of display technology and embedded computing and part of the FORTEC Group since 2016. The company develops and manufactures custom monitors and display systems for machine control, medical technology, fire-safety-sensitive areas, digital signage, rail and defence, complemented by TFT controllers, single-board computers and ARM-technology media players. Its core competence is custom system integration from a single source: enclosure design, touch integration, electronics, software and firmware development through to the assembly of complete devices from prototype to series production, including CE certification. In the cleanroom at headquarters, touchscreens and protective glass are bonded onto TFT displays up to 32 inches using VacuBond® optical bonding; further processes include ATEX/Free-Air-Exclusion bonding, lamination and tape bonding. Materials include glass, protective glass, silicone gel, OCA, plastics, stainless steel and metal for enclosures. Qualified testing services such as 4K/3D microscopy, gloss and contact angle measurement, and display calibration (incl. DICOM) round out the offering.
