About FRAI Robotic Technologies
FRAI Elektromaschinenbau GmbH, operating under the name FRAI Robotic Technologies, is a subsidiary of WFL Millturn based in Sankt Konrad, Upper Austria. The company develops and manufactures custom automation solutions for machine tools – from gantry robots (line and area gantries) to robotic cells with articulated-arm robots and multiple interlinking, through to mobile robot automation with the mobileCELL. FRAI supports projects from initial concept development through implementation and commissioning to plant maintenance. Peripheral transport and storage systems for workpieces, tools and clamping devices as well as host-computer-controlled cells with MES/BDE connection (Profibus, OPC-UA) round out the offering. Custom options such as sample discharge, marking, cleaning, blank workpiece measurement and robot-assisted deburring extend the functional scope. The combination of FRAI standard components and high-quality purchased elements enables flexible solutions from small series to highly productive series production for industries such as the automotive industry, aerospace, mould making and mechanical engineering.

Products & Systems
Gantry Robots (Line and Area Gantry)
Modular system with top loading, low space requirements, very large travel distances and high loads.
Robotic Cell with Articulated-Arm Robot
Three-dimensional kinematics for loading/unloading, deburring, cleaning, orienting and turning even with restricted machine access.
Multiple Interlinking
Flexible interlinking of several machining centres with a variable material flow concept.
mobileCELL (Mobile Robot Automation)
Autonomous, wireless mobile robot with sensorics for safe navigation in dynamic hall environments.
Peripheral Transport and Storage Systems
Buffer/store/warehouse, set-up station, gripper change station and external tool magazine for workpieces, tools and clamping devices.
Host-Computer-Controlled Cells with MES/BDE Connection
Accepts orders from the customer-side system, workpiece tracking and data exchange via Profibus or OPC-UA.
