About FRAKO
FRAKO Kondensatoren- und Anlagenbau GmbH, headquartered in Teningen (Baden-Württemberg), has been developing and manufacturing power capacitors, reactive power compensation systems, filter solutions and energy management systems since 1928. The product range includes detuned and non-detuned compensation systems (17,5 to 500 kvar per cabinet), dynamic systems with thyristor switches (LSFC-E, 100 to 300 kvar), electronic hybrid compensation (HPQ, 35 to 277 kvar), active and passive harmonic filters, as well as measuring and monitoring devices of the PQA series. The dry-technology power capacitors are manufactured in-house with self-healing segmented capacitor film, an overpressure disconnect device and patented contact ring technology; systems are assembled modularly in sheet-steel switch cabinets. Services include grid analyses by VDE-certified PQ experts, project planning, commissioning, maintenance, retrofits and training. Customers come from industry and trade, energy supply, rail transport, data centers and building technology; projects have been delivered, among others, to Siemens Mobility in Bulgaria.

Quality
Every production stage is subject to quality controls: capacitors undergo routine tests in accordance with IEC/EN 60831, type tests, FRAKO release tests, and inspections before, during and after production; each capacitor is linked via an individual serial number to the test results of the final inspection.
