About Franke Maschinenbau

Franke Maschinenbau Medingen GmbH is a medium-sized mechanical engineering company based in Ottendorf-Okrilla (district of Medingen) near Dresden. Founded in 1990 as a service and repair business for machines and systems, the company developed into a center for metalworking. Today its range of services covers CNC production of precision components through milling and turning with up to 12 axes, TIG and MIG/MAG welding, laser marking, and the assembly of small subassemblies from in-house production. Production is carried out in single-part and series production from steel, stainless steel, aluminum and titanium. The machine park includes five-axis milling machines from Hermle, Kern Micro and Fehlmann, CNC lathes from Traub and Weiler, as well as automatic band saws. Customers come from machinery, plant and equipment engineering. The company is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Quality & Certification

Turned and milled parts are inspected regularly throughout the entire manufacturing process; dimensions, tolerances and surfaces are continuously monitored so that deviations are detected and corrected immediately. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015; in addition, a TIG welding process qualification according to the Pressure Equipment Directive AD2000 is in place.
