Frankenberg GmbH, based in Würselen, produces customised meal solutions in the form of menu components, meal kits and individual recipes in larger filling volumes. The product range is aimed at customers from the airline industry (inflight), foodservice, retail and lounges. In the foodservice segment, senior care homes, hotels, canteens, executive dining, event catering and buffets are supplied; the products are designed as production-ready components and meal kits that reduce on-site staffing requirements. In addition, the company develops bulk recipes tailored to customer requirements for foodservice customers. Production takes place at one site in Würselen on 11,000 m² of production space with a frozen storage capacity of 7,000 Euro pallets. Annual production is around 40,000 tonnes, equivalent to approximately 150,000 meals per day.
