Since 1978, Franz Banke GmbH has been manufacturing moulds and accessories for the roof tile industry and additionally offers contract manufacturing of parts made of steel, stainless steel, aluminium, cast materials and plastic. The services include complete roof tile development from design through tool construction to manufacturing and final assembly, tool and mould making as well as CNC machining on 3- and 5-axis machining centres, turning, wire EDM, surface grinding, welding, blasting and plastic processing. Development also includes optical digitisation of existing tile contours using a scanner with a 360° rotary table, supplemented by tactile metrology. The machine park comprises machining centres from Alzmetall, Heller, Deckel Maho, Haas, Kunzmann, WEMAS and Mikron as well as four wire EDM machines. Customers come from the roof tile and brickworks technology industry as well as from general supply manufacturing. The company employs around 45 staff at its site in Isen in Upper Bavaria on 2750 m² of usable floor space.

Franz Banke GmbH has been certified to DIN ISO 9001 since 2006; conformity with ISO 9001:2015 has been confirmed several times by TÜV Rheinland. The quality of manufactured parts is checked with a Faro measuring arm, Wenzel gantry measuring machine LH 87 (±2 µm) and an optical digitisation system.
