Plastic processing since 1924
Franz Henke GmbH & Co. KG is a family business founded in 1924, now run by five people in the third generation in Lohne (Oldenburg), specialising in the processing of plastics. Using injection moulding, around 90 employees produce about 1.2 billion plastic articles per year – primarily closures such as screw caps, snap-on lids, push-in lids and twist-off lids, plugs for the coffee industry, shaker canisters, measuring spoons, round packaging containers and plant pots made from recycled plastic. The materials used are polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS), with colours and decorations designed to customer specifications. The range of processes includes in-house toolmaking, the IML decoration process (In-Mould-Labeling), printing, engraving and the application of adhesive labels, through to automated packaging, palletising and case packing. The products go to customers from the food and cosmetics industries, horticulture, the furniture sector as well as non-food applications. Since the FiBa Kunststofftechnik brand joined the Henke organisation, capacity for twist-off closures, cosmetic jars and technical articles has increased.
