About Franz Hillebrand
Franz Hillebrand GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned company based in Iserlohn, owner-managed since 1950. The company is structured around three areas of activity: metal melting, recycling and trading in non-ferrous metals. At its own smelting plant in Wilnsdorf, copper-zinc alloys are melted; from these, fine-grained, polishable ingot brass is produced for manufacturers of sanitary fittings and building technology, as well as special brass alloys for mechanical engineering and automotive. Over 90% of the material processed consists of recycled materials and residues from customers' production processes, which are treated in the company's own sorting plants. In addition, Hillebrand trades in a broad range of non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, zinc, aluminium, lead, stainless steel, red brass, bronze, aluminium bronze, nickel silver and nickel, with part of these stocks used as feedstock for its own smelting plant. Customers come from the sanitary fittings, building technology, mechanical engineering and automotive industries.
