About the Rothkötter Group

The Rothkötter Group was founded in 1959 as a feed trading business in Meppen-Versen and today, as Franz-Josef Rothkötter GmbH & Co. KG, is a manufacturer of compound feed and chicken meat. The group comprises three compound feed mills in Meppen-Versen, Haren-Eurohafen and Boizenburg, the Emsland hatchery in Dohren, and the two chicken processing plants Emsland Frischgeflügel in Haren and Celler Land Frischgeflügel in Wietze. The feed mills produce complete and supplementary feed for pigs, poultry for fattening and parent stock with a total capacity of over 1,000,000 tonnes per year. The feed is delivered by the company's own fleet; a rail connection at the Eurohafen site additionally enables delivery by rail. The group employs around 4,500 staff at seven sites in northern Germany and generates revenue of approximately 1.5 billion euros. The sales company Landgeflügel is responsible for the sales and logistics of fresh and frozen chicken meat products.
