About Wohl + Partner

Franz Wohl + Partner Prüfmaschinen GmbH from Schalkau in southern Thuringia manufactures FWP-series materials testing machines for tensile, compression and bending tests in accordance with DIN 51220 – from the 500-N table-top unit to the stationary 500-kN testing machine. The machines are used for quality assurance and materials research at universities, universities of applied sciences and institutes, covering industries such as metals, wood, glass, plastics, paper, textiles, ropes and composites. In addition, the company operates a DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory for force (0.1 N to 3 MN, DIN EN ISO 7500-1) and length (DIN EN ISO 9513) with calibration certificates recognized throughout Europe via EA and ILAC. Further core competencies include special-purpose machine construction for the measured variables strain, force, length change and speed, the maintenance, repair and modernization of testing machines, as well as the development of test procedures, materials science, consulting and training. The portfolio is rounded off by a stainless steel fabrication operation for frames, grates, railings, industrial kitchen interiors and enclosures. The locations comprise the headquarters in Schalkau with manufacturing and calibration laboratory.

Quality and Accreditation

Calibrations are carried out as a DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7500-1 (force) and DIN EN ISO 9513 (length) with the smallest measurement uncertainties of 0.10% to 0.24%; the calibration certificates are mutually recognized throughout Europe via EA and ILAC. The testing machines comply with DIN 51220 and achieve the highest accuracy classes of DIN EN ISO 7500 and DIN EN ISO 9513.
