About the Maschinenfabrik

The Freie Kulturzentrum Maschinenfabrik Heilbronn e. V. is a non-profit association that has been operating a cultural center in the listed building of the former Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft Heilbronn at Olgastraße 45 since 2020. The program includes concerts, comedy, poetry slam, theater, art, and exhibition projects, as well as family formats such as Family Disco and silent film special events. The center's infrastructure includes three performance halls, rehearsal and project rooms, a sound studio, a cultural gastronomy, and a graffiti open area (Hall of Fame). The association cooperates with, among others, Kreissparkasse Heilbronn, Hochschule Heilbronn, Hochschule Pforzheim, and the city of Lauffen a. N. Traditionally, the center, building on the background of the former Popbüro Heilbronn-Franken, hosts the Heilbronn Poetry Slam with regular school workshops for promoting young talent. The location is a building in the area near the train station, which is easily accessible by public transport.
