Family business since 1919
Freitag WeidenArt is a family business founded in 1919 in Freising that specialises in the cultivation and processing of willows. On 24 hectares of its own willow plantations – one of the largest willow-growing areas in Germany – the company produces willow rods for a wide range of uses. The product range includes material for tipis, tunnels and woven fences, woven willow, deadwood products such as fascines, tree shelters, privacy screen elements made from locust rods as well as material for bioengineering construction methods. In addition, the company builds living fences, vegetative noise barriers and designs children's play areas. Willows and bioengineering materials have been delivered nationwide for over 86 years, with defined delivery periods per product as well as stock items available year-round. Customers come from landscaping, road and waterway construction as well as from play area design and noise protection. The business is run in the third generation by Karl-Heinz and Sibylle Freitag.
