About Aerosense
FREQUENTIS DFS AEROSENSE is a joint venture founded in 2018 by Frequentis AG and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (via its subsidiary DFS Aviation Services), headquartered in Vienna. The company delivers turnkey remote and virtual tower solutions for air traffic control – from technology through system integration to operational support. The use cases include remote towers for smaller airports, multi-remote-tower operations centres for regions, and virtual tower solutions for large hubs, also as contingency or training solutions. Beyond the technology, Aerosense offers consulting on ATS procedures, training and transition, support with safety and regulatory approvals, change and stakeholder management, and validation. Technological expertise comes from Frequentis, operational ATM experience from DFS Aviation Services. Reference projects are the Remote Tower Control Center Leipzig (controlling Erfurt and Saarbrücken), the Remote Tower Center Niedersachsen in Braunschweig, and the virtual tower validation at Munich Airport.
