About the association
Freundeskreis Knechtsche Hallen - Keimzelle Kranhaus e.V. is a registered association founded in 2014 in Elmshorn (Schleswig-Holstein). The purpose of the association is the promotion of art, culture and heritage preservation, insofar as a connection to the listed Knechtsche Hallen or the Kranhaus exists. The association advocates the preservation of the historic shell hall and its conversion into a culture and creative hub within the Vormstegen redevelopment area. It developed a usage concept for the Kranhaus and the shell hall and presented it to political parties, the public and the Urban Redevelopment Committee. Activities include events such as concerts, Christmas markets and dance evenings at the Kranhaus, exhibitions, workshops as well as cooperation with non-commercial cultural practitioners and cultural sponsorship partnerships with companies. The association office is located at Lönsweg 42 in Elmshorn; the association is registered in the register of associations at the Pinneberg District Court (VR 1833 PI). The association is not a manufacturing company.
