Frey & Bührer Hörsysteme GmbH is an owner-managed hearing care company based in Freiburg im Breisgau with eight specialist stores in southern Baden. The company emerged in 1949 from Frey-Hörhilfe, one of Germany's first hearing care companies, and has accompanied the development of hearing systems for more than 70 years. Its range of services includes hearing tests, the individual fitting of state-of-the-art hearing systems, hearing systems for children (pediatric audiology), tinnitus counseling with Lenire therapy, custom hearing protection and accessories. Hearing systems are fitted exclusively by experienced hearing instrument specialists with three years of vocational training and a master craftsman examination. Several locations feature Floatroom fitting rooms for measurements in sound-attenuated rooms. The company is independent of hearing aid manufacturers, cooperates with renowned manufacturers and conducts field studies on new products. A quality management system according to DIN 9001 was introduced and certified in 2008.
