About Frickly Systems
Frickly Systems is a young technology company based in Stuttgart, founded by four engineers and today comprising a team of 15 people. The company develops and manufactures functional prototypes, technical demonstrators and complete product systems for OEMs, corporate teams and startups. The value chain covers systems engineering, electronics development (circuit design, PCB layout, assembly, production and certification support), embedded software (firmware, embedded Linux, RTOS, IoT and industrial protocols such as CAN, Modbus, PROFINET, MQTT) as well as mechanical design including enclosures and mechanical components. Plastic parts and enclosures are produced using CAD design, 3D printing and injection molding, integrated into mechanical assemblies for industrial prototypes. A reference project is the ARDEP, which is used in the Mercedes-Benz FlexCAR Rolling Chassis within the ARENA2036 consortium. Typical lot sizes range from one-off pieces (prototype, demo build) to small series; according to the website, it usually takes 4 weeks to 3 months from the first meeting to the functional demo build. Office and laboratory are located in Stuttgart-Wangen; the development team is distributed across Germany and Austria.
