About FRIEM

FRIEM is a manufacturer of high-power converters and energy converters (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) for heavy industry, in operation since 1950. The company has delivered more than 3,000 converters worldwide with a total output of over 20 GW. FRIEM designs and manufactures custom high-power converters for electrolytic hydrogen production (Power to Gas and Gas to Power) as well as for industrial electrolysis processes, including chlor-alkali electrolysis. The portfolio is complemented by after-sales service and maintenance of power conversion systems. The headquarters are located in Segrate near Milan on an 11,000 m² industrial site with more than 120 employees; service centers exist in Dammam (Saudi Arabia) and Adelaide (Australia).
