FRIES Kunststofftechnik GmbH is a third-generation family-owned company based in Sulz, Vorarlberg (Austria), established in 1896, active as a plastics processor in four business areas: industrial packaging, gastronomy systems, industrial baskets and technical moulded parts. In the packaging sector, buckets, canisters, drums and tins are produced from polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), including UN approval for dangerous goods, food compliance and electrical discharge capability. Manufacturing processes are extrusion blow moulding — since 2024 with a co-extrusion blow moulding machine (Bekum XBLOW 100) for three-layer 220-l drums with recycled content of up to 35 % — as well as injection moulding, screen printing and digital printing. The workpiece carrier systems tech-rack and techtray made of glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide (PA-GV) and proprietary materials such as FRIES Comp 21/22 serve for transport, cleaning and storage of sensitive components in metalworking, medical technology, mechatronics, microelectronics and precision engineering; they are optionally available in ESD versions, can be loaded and unloaded by robots and equipped with RFID chips. With 250 employees, an export share of 85 % and deliveries to more than 50 countries, the company also supplies gastronomy, hospitality and the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. In 2026, the expansion of the Sulz site by around 4,500 m² of office and production space began.
