About Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever
The Friesische Brauhaus zu Jever was founded in 1848 by Diedrich König and has been brewing beer in Jever (Lower Saxony) ever since, above all the hop-bitter Jever Pilsener brewed in the Pilsener style, which accounts for around 75% of total production. The range includes the non-alcoholic Pilseners Jever Fun and Jever Fun 0,0%, the beer mixes Jever Fun Zitrone and Jever Fun Blutorange, the light beer Jever Light and the strong beer Jever Strong with 7.5% vol. A spirit (Jever Digestif, 40% vol.) is also produced from the brewery's own beer. The brewery also fills third-party brands such as Wicküler Pilsener and Schöfferhofer Grapefruit; previously it also produced Bionade, Wicküler Radler and Grenzquell Pilsner, among others. Since 2004, the Jever brand has belonged to the Oetker Group and is part of the Radeberger Group. The production facility offers guided tours by prior appointment, including a visit to the attached historic brewery museum, which provides insight into everyday brewery life around 100 years ago; in 2007 more than 33,000 guests visited the facility.
