About Frigotec GmbH
Frigotec GmbH, based in Landsberg (Saxony-Anhalt), is the General System Partner of Softripe technology, a German-Brazilian process for ripening tropical fruits such as bananas, mangoes and avocados. After five years of research and development, the patented technology was launched on the market in 2018. The company develops and sells turnkey ripening systems consisting of CA gas-tight ripening chambers with special gas-tight doors, nitrogen generators, CO2 adsorbers and software-controlled process control. The chambers range from single to multi-level pallet configurations, can be manufactured to customer specifications and can also serve as cooling or CA storage space. Through continuous measurement of gas concentrations (O2, CO2, ethylene), the physiological state of the fruit is determined and ripening is controlled dynamically and stress-free. Customers include fruit traders, ripening service providers and the food retail sector; system partners exist, among others, in the UK/Ireland, Australia, Korea, Israel and Russia.
