About Fritz Kohl

Fritz Kohl GmbH & Co. KG has been producing precious veneers for surface finishing in Karlstadt am Main since 1951. The company processes well over 160 wood species – 157 documented species according to the Veneer Book – into veneer leaves of typically 0.5 to 0.7 mm thickness by slicing and peeling. Roundwood and sawn timber are traded and further processed. Through Fritz Kohl Concepts GmbH & Co. KG, technical veneers and veneer components such as centre consoles, instrument and door panels made of wood, aluminium and recycled materials are also produced, used among other things in vehicle interiors, yachts, aircraft and premium projects. In 2026, the main block of a new veneer peeling machine was installed using a heavy-duty crane. The company is certified to ISO 9001 as well as to FSC and PEFC standards and supplies customers worldwide.
