About Mövenpick Ice Cream
Froneri Switzerland S.A. produces ice cream specialities under the Mövenpick brand in Goldach on Lake Constance. The company originated in the restaurant industry of the 1960s and was shaped by its founder Ueli Prager. In addition to cream ice cream in numerous varieties, sorbet is also produced; the basis is milk and cream from Swiss farms as well as carefully selected ingredients such as Basler Rahmtäfeli and Swiss chocolate. Palm oil is avoided, and the only emulsifier used is eggs from free-range farming; in Rainforest Alliance certified products only sustainably grown cocoa is used. Over 400 employees in Switzerland work on production, which is expanded annually with new products featuring sauces and pieces. The products are available in over 35 countries; worldwide there are also around 150 own ice cream parlour boutiques.
