About FrostForge

FrostForge SA is a Swiss company founded in 2024 in Vessy near Geneva that develops and manufactures refrigeration machines based on the adsorption principle. The so-called Cold Engine converts solar or waste heat at 90 to 120 °C directly into cooling – without a compressor, without combustion and without a grid connection. The cooling produced is stored as chilled water or as ice and supplied depending on the application at temperatures of +7 °C (comfort cooling), +2 to +8 °C (medical/pharma), 0 °C (fresh goods) or −18 °C (frozen food). In the laboratory, the first machine built already reaches −30 °C. The technology is marketed, among other things, as a Cold-as-a-Service model in which cooling is billed per kWh; the first paying pilot customer is an energy utility. Design, development and manufacturing take place in Switzerland; a heat exchanger protected by a patent application (WO 2026/171993) is the core of the technology.
