Fruchthandel Bernd Gläßner is a family company from Berkatal-Hitzerode in northern Hesse that has been trading in fruit and vegetables since 1948. Its offering covers the full range of fruit, vegetables, herbs and mushrooms – including organic vegetables, potatoes, exotic fruits, salads, mushrooms, herbs and sprouts – partly from its own horticultural cultivation and partly through long-standing partnerships with producers and wholesalers in Germany and abroad. For gastronomy, hotels and large-scale catering, kitchen-ready convenience products such as peeled and pre-cooked potatoes, washed salads, fruit salads, French fries, potato dumpling dough as well as sauces and dressings are provided. From the Berkatal-Hitzerode location, fresh deliveries are made daily throughout the region. In addition, there is on-site direct sales, a pick-up emergency service on Sundays and public holidays, and a stall at the weekly market in Eschwege. The company is run in its third generation by Bernd Gläßner.
