About Fruchtsaftkelterei Zimmer
Fruchtsaftkelterei Zimmer GmbH is a family-run fruit juice producer based in Rheinau in Central Baden. Founded in 1893 by farmer Jakob Zimmer as a pressery and distillery, the company produces fruit juices with 100 % fruit content, direct juices, organic juices, nectars with 25–60 % fruit content, fruit juice drinks with at least 25 % fruit content, sweet musts and fruit wines. The raw materials come predominantly from the Central Baden region, including apple, pear, quince, grape, elderberry, aronia and rhubarb; procurement is partly via contract farming. Processing comprises fruit intake and pressing (presses by Bucher), tank storage with a cold-storable tank capacity of 2.3 million litres, and filling on an automatic filling line into VdF returnable glass fruit juice bottles (0.2/0.5/1 litre). In addition to its own brand range, the company offers contract pressing (pressing services for farmers), contract farming and the sale of feed pomace; products are sold directly at its own juice shop. A branch with fruit intake exists in Fischerbach.
