About FS Schiffstechnik
FS Schiffstechnik is a Duisburg-based provider of marine electrics and marine hydraulics, specialized in commercial shipping, located on the Rhine. Founded in 1993, the company plans, manufactures, installs and overhauls electrical and hydraulic systems for inland vessels – including complete steering systems, hydraulic pumps and cylinders, complete steering gear, control valves, switchgear (230/400 V AC and 24 V DC), complete electrical systems, engine control systems (including ZF Mathers) and battery systems. In-house products such as throttles, control panels, rudder angle indicators and feedback transmitters are made from materials including aluminium, stainless steel (V2A/VA) and steel; console plates are CNC-machined, and wheelhouse consoles are built from wood, aluminium or steel. Since 2012, FS Schiffstechnik has been fitting out ships for electric and hybrid propulsion and has equipped ten commercial vessels with electrical systems. Customers are owner-operators and shipping companies in Germany and throughout Europe.
