About the FSM Group
Founded in 2005, the FSM Group is an internationally active technology company specializing in the development and manufacture of special-purpose machines, production lines and forming tools for the automotive supply industry. Its core competencies include multi-axis CNC electric and hydraulic stretch bending, profile roll forming with inline welding and 3D sweeping, stamping and injection molding of sealing systems (Sealing Notching and Sealing Molding), high-precision stamping (Class A), sawing, laser cutting, high-speed milling, as well as the automation and integration of complete process chains including cross-section and hardness testing. Materials processed include steel, ultra-high-strength steels, aluminum, and plastic and EPDM sealing profiles with metal carriers. The systems are used to manufacture battery housings and trays for electric vehicles, crash management systems, body structure, sealing and exterior parts, as well as solar panel frames. As a turnkey partner, FSM serves Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers as well as OEMs. The group's central hub is the megafactory opened in 2022 in Qinhuangdao (China); the European headquarters is FSM Europe GmbH, founded in 2020 in Erfurt. Further locations exist in Poland, France, Canada, Mexico and Thailand; the group employs more than 1,000 people worldwide (as of late 2021).
