The AG für Baumaschinen Schmerikon (AGFBS) was founded in 1962 as a family-owned corporation with the purpose of 'operating a service center for construction machinery' and today, as an independent family-owned corporation, is the general importer of renowned construction machinery brands such as DEVELON, EVERDIGM and Movax as well as a supplier of the mobile screening plants and screening buckets of DB Engineering. At the Schmerikon site, the infrastructure includes a workshop with milling and turning operations, a metalworking shop with oxy-fuel, electrode, TIG and aluminum welding, a hydraulic hose station for hoses up to 2 inches, a spare parts warehouse, training rooms, a loading yard and a test area. The service portfolio covers the entire life cycle of construction machinery: maintenance and repairs – including mobile on the construction site via a service van fleet – cylinder repairs, exhaust maintenance, emissions measurements, roadworthiness inspection (MFK), painting, undercarriage and equipment overhauls, through to custom fabrications, maintenance contracts, fleet management and machine rental. Customers include construction companies, landscaping businesses and the recycling/construction materials cycle sector; wear-resistant materials such as Hardox are used for the evaluation of tools such as screening buckets.
