About the Princely Brewery
Fürst Wallerstein Brauhaus GmbH is a brewery in the market town of Wallerstein in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries. The brewery's brewing tradition dates back to 1598; the brewery facilities still in use today were built from 1774 onwards, when the former granary was converted into a cellar. In 1838 the building was extended with a sugar factory, which today serves as a brewery inn. The company brews beers according to ancient family recipes of the House of Wallerstein, including brands such as Fürst Wallerstein Original and Export. Since 2000, the beers of Scheible Bräu brewery from Alerheim, which closed at the end of 1999, have also been produced in Wallerstein, and since October 2016 also the beers of the former Ankerbrauerei in Nördlingen according to the Ankerbräu recipe. For marketing, the company operates an online shop, the beverage retail store Getränke König, a brewery inn and a fan shop.
