About Spezial-Brauerei Schierling
Spezial-Brauerei Schierling, based in Schierling (district of Regensburg), is a brewery that has existed since 1578 and was the first Bavarian brewery to specialise in brewing Pils. The product range includes Schierlinger Pils, Schierlinger Hell, Schierlinger Hell Alkoholfrei, Schierlinger Roggen and Schierlinger Natur Radler – brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law with select hop varieties, brewing malt and pure spring water. Since 1997, the company has been 100% owned by Brauerei zum Kuchlbauer under a profit and loss transfer agreement. At the site, the brewery operates the Schierlinger Bräustüberl with regional Bavarian cuisine, a beer garden, rooms for celebrations and conferences as well as guest rooms; the Schierlinger Hotel was opened in 2020. Since the generational change in 2017 under Managing Director Jacob Horsch, the brewery has been modernised in the areas of brewing technology and in-house power generation. The beer specialities are available via the company's own online shop.
