About Fürstenberg Brauerei
Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei GmbH & Co. KG is a traditional brewery based at Postplatz 1-4 in Donaueschingen (Baden-Württemberg). Its roots go back to the year 1283, when Count Heinrich I. von Fürstenberg received from King Rudolf I. of Habsburg the landgraviate rights including the brewing right; since the new building of 1739, the location has not changed. The brewery produces a broad range of beers, including Pilsener, Helles, Export, wheat beers, Natur Radler as well as non-alcoholic beers and seasonal specialities. The water comes from the company's own deep well; raw materials are barley or barley malt, wheat and hops. The processes include brewing various beer styles, pasteurisation of bottled beer (since 1880) and gentle dealcoholisation for 0.0% beers using a modern plant (2019). At the show brewery Fürstenberg Brauwerk, beer specialities of the Edition “Fürstenberg Bräu” have been created since 2015, and brewing courses, seminars, guided tours and exclusive special editions (450-litre brews) are offered. Customers include gastronomy, retail and specialised beverage wholesale. Since 2005, the company has belonged to Brau Holding International (today's Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe).
