About Fuji Silysia Chemical
Fuji Silysia Chemical Ltd. is a manufacturer specializing in silicon dioxide (silica gel), originating from a sodium silicate production facility founded in 1932 in Osaka. Founded in 1965, the company develops and produces specialty silica gels for liquid chromatography (Chromatorex product line) as well as numerous other industrial applications ranging from adsorption and separation to matting and moisture control. The silica gels are produced as spherical particles by dry or wet processes as well as granular (irregular) silica gel by batch gelation and milling; the Chromatorex product line comprises more than 4,100 products with particle sizes from approx. 1.6 µm to 100 µm and pore diameters of 6 to 100 nm, including chemically bonded phases (C18, C8, C4, Phenyl, Cyano, DIOL, Amino, among others) and endcapping variants. Production takes place at five production plants – Kasugai, Hyuga and Ehime in Japan, Greenville (NC, USA) and Bussi (Italy, Silysiamont S.p.A., 100 % group-owned since 2016) – complemented by a Technical Center in Hyuga. Customer industries include pharmaceuticals, food, electronic materials, petrochemicals, agriculture, and coatings and paints. The Kasugai, Hyuga and Ehime plants are certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
