About Furka Antriebstechnik
Furka Antriebstechnik GmbH, based in Siegen-Eiserfeld, is a component and system supplier for industrial brake technology with a focus on crane construction and cargo handling. The portfolio covers electrohydraulic disc and drum brakes (DIN 15435), hydraulic safety brakes, ABS systems for trolley and crane travel gear, storm locks such as hydraulic rail brakes and rail clamps, industrial buffers as well as system-complementary accessories such as thrusters, hydraulic power units, couplings and brake linings. The base components are manufactured in Asia and completed in Herdorf with high-quality components from Europe and tested before shipping. The brake linings come from the affiliated company Furka Reibbeläge AG. Furka also assumes brake system responsibility including retrofit with the BMS-III monitoring system as well as engineering services with calculation tools, e.g. for buffer dimensioning. The company is a 100% subsidiary of Furka Reibbeläge AG (Switzerland) and supplies, via sales and service partners worldwide, among others ports, steel mills, mining and cableways.

Materials and Lining Materials
Asbestos-free high-performance sintered linings
Brake linings for the disc brake series SFB21, SFB31 and SFB32.
Asbestos-free organic brake linings type F91.58
Hard material with high, stable friction coefficient performance, insensitive to water and salt; used in safety brakes and disc brakes SFB11.
Asbestos-free Furka brake linings type F92.64
Lining material for drum brakes of the FTB series per DIN 15435.
Stainless steel (pins, seawater-resistant connection parts)
Corrosion-resistant pins on drum brakes and seawater-resistant connection parts for storm locks.
High-strength steel (lining material rail brake)
Basis of the specially developed lining material of the rail brake F-YGZB with a high coefficient of friction.
